The Deslondes are a rootsy folk band based in New Orleans, Louisiana.

They self-released one album in 2012 under the lengthy name “Sam Doores + Riley Downing & the Tumbleweeds”. Brevity prevailed, and they became, simply, The Deslondes.

They’ve made some new fans recently with an impressive set at the Newport Folk Festival as well as opening for probably the greatest and best bluegrass band in the world.

Three live performances are below. Their official debut album on New West Records is due early next year.
