MMT Midsummer 2015

Here’s a midsummer mix, because this previous mix is getting stale, and there remain lakes to be boated and campfires to be lit.

On the mix below, you’ll find songs about an Illinois tributary (#20), a train bound for Mexico (#16), murder & deceit (#11), raucous drinking (#5), the Cowboy State (#2), love (#9), unrequited love (#13), falling in love via camping (#3), despondency (#17), optimism (#21), divine protection (#7), rebelling against religious silliness (#4), inner peace (#19), and one mysterious blues musician (#6).

The songs are entirely new or newish, mostly upbeat with a handful of acoustic downers, and with plenty of hand-claps and foot-stomps.

This download link will be available for a limited time.

The cover art was again done by the fine miscreants over at FaithlessStreet.org.

Special thanks to the inimitable (if occasionally insufferable) “Monkey” for coming up with the concept, and to “DougoBlue” for putting on the finishing touches.

If you find something you like, please support the artists, buy their records, buy their t-shirts, see a show, and other good stuff like that.

Cheers.
