Rosie Tucker is a singer-songwriter based in Los Angeles, California. She has a whimsical yet well-worn vocal delivery that implies she’s been through some shit and probably doesn’t have much extra time for yours. In her songs, there’s a fair amount of intelligent Lisa Loeb cuteness, some Laura Marling angst, and a bit of witty sarcasm à la Garfunkel & Oates.
Ms. Tucker’s debut album, Lowlight, was just released a couple weeks ago. Songs 3, 4, and 6 are particularly great, but the whole album is below. You can preview it, then buy it directly from the artist via her Bandcamp page for the low low price of whatever-you-think-is-fair.
Don’t be too cheap, though. You probably think $8-$10 is fair, right? Good deal.
