Most of the music posted here is new or newish. However, as a nod to the elders, Tuesdays are reserved strictly for music that was written and/or recorded before the year 2000.

1994

In 1994, Green Day single-handedly pulled punk music out of the gutter and put it back on the radio with their seminal album Dookie.

Some folks complained that Green Day was too “pop” to be punk, as if The Sex Pistols never wrote an actual melody. (They did.)
Those folks also might forget how possessed Billie Joe Armstrong looked in the early 90s. The first thirty seconds of the video below should remind you.
