Mandolin Orange is an acoustic songwriting duo from Chapel Hill, North Carolina. They make unpretentious, earnest folk music that fits great into any summer afternoon soundtrack.
There’s nothing particularly groundbreaking about their music, but it’s delivered with a quiet confidence and sincerity that doesn’t need to be showy or novel. They’re not reinventing the wheel here, and they seem just fine with that. They’re both multi-instrumentalists, and their voices just happen to fit together very well.
Two of their songs are below. “Little Worlds” is a new one, and “Waltz About Whiskey” is from their latest album, This Side of Jordan, which you can preview and purchase here.
