Astral Swans is the nom de plume of Canadian songwriter Matthew Swann.

The race for Best Album of the Year is ongoing, but the race for best album title of the year may very well be over. Astral Swans’ debut album is entitled All My Favorite Singers are Willie Nelson, and that’s going to be a tough one to beat.

The song below is the first single from the album. It’s a shuffling, lo-fi bit of minimalist pop that’s both catchy and clever. You might find yourself listening to it two or three times in a row, and you should feel fine about that.
