Darlingside – The God of Loss / Blow the House Down

Darlingside is an indie folk band whose roots go back to Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts.

Their music is largely acoustic, with plenty of vocal harmonies, violin, and cello throughout. Fans of anything remotely related to “chamber rock” should take note.

They’re scheduled to play a few large-scale festivals this summer, so your friends who get their new music based on what they hear at Starbucks will be hip to them sooner than you might like.

Nonetheless, here’s your heads up.

RIYL: Fleet Foxes, British literature, good music, lattés
