Kaleo is a bluesy folk rock band from Iceland.

They haven’t released a full-length record here in the States yet, but according to the drummer, an album is forthcoming later this year.

They recently stopped by KEXP, and holy hell is this performance promising. They do catchy pop, soulful blues, and morose folk; and they do them all really, really well.

In a musical landscape that’s recently made Andrew Hozier-Byrne a household name, it’s hard to imagine these guys staying low-key for very long at all.
