This video of Ray Lamontagne playing “You Can Bring Me Flowers” on BBC 4 is the best thing I heard this week. When I first heard this version, I thought it was a cover of an old song by Jackson Browne or Jim Croce or someone equally awesome. I’d totally forgotten that it’s actually a recent song from Mr. Lamontagne’s wholly underrated 2006 album Till the Sun Turns Black.
